Compassionate Action

Luke 10:37 (nkjv) And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

Thieves do what they do best; steal, hurt and leave to people to die. There was a man who fell among dedicated thieves (Luke 10:30-37) and experienced excruciating pain and near death. The thief only cares for himself to the point he will leave anyone to die. That is the devils way of life.BUt I thank God for always sending someone willing to extend real compassion, and act selflessly.

Many are willing to justify themselves, but few are willing to bandage the wounds of the hurting.
As I was reading this, I wondered; “How often do we try to justify ourselves by looking successful, doing well and journeying along the way, simply passing by the ONE by?”

Jesus doesn’t complicate matters; He simplifies them to help others naturally and supernaturally. It does not matter the economic situation, ethnical background, social status or location you are in, God wants to do something spectacular though you for someone else NOW. People get stuck on the outside appearance and talk themselves out of being used of God.

Jesus speaks NOW, GO show (DEMONSTRATE GODS LOVE) mercy on someone who the devil has stolen from and has left to die.

It doesn’t take long for someone to fall in love with Jesus after they have truly been shown compassion.  When the heart is softened by compassion it opens to the Kingdom of God. You must offer Salvation to them, in all it benefits, and be willing to lay your life down for someone else. Be willing to bandage the wounds of the broken and abused, pour Gods refreshing oil and pure holy wine over the hurt and pain and pray for revival and healing.

Mercy extends out so far, that it is open to the ridicule of others for the sake of a promising transformational touch. Mercy is willing to take the time and invest life to the dying.

A person rarely surrenders their life to God without being extended mercy and grace. The Holy Spirit has us on a mission at Lets Go Ministry. We are called to go into all the earth and be compassionate, preaching the Gospel to everyone who will listen and watching God amaze us with His power. This ministry work God has entrusted us with means nothing if we are not faithful to this powerful concept of compassion.

Will this take time out of your day you were not planning for? YES. Is it worth every moment? YES. Will it be uncomfortable? YES … You cannot imagine the blessing God pours out unless you enter it by faith.

May God bless you abundantly in JESUS name!
LOVE - JED LINDSTROM
